Student Affairs Research & Assessment Competencies
The Research & Assessment Work Team has devoted several months to produce a cogent and coherent set of assessment competencies for Student Affairs professionals. The Team settled upon the ACPA Assessment Skills and Knowledge (ASK) standards and worked diligently to distill the 13 ASK competencies into seven. Now, we would like to present the first installment of our efforts: Assessment in Action! (PDF)
Assessment in Action! presents action items in each of the seven stages of an assessment cycle. These action items are not exhaustive and not necessarily in chronological order. They are a sample of questions to consider and steps to take when you embark on any assessment, small or large.
