Fall 2024 set a record for recruitment registration at the University of Arizona, with more than 2,200 students became new members of Greek organizations at Arizona!

At the beginning of the Fall 2024 semester, staff from Fraternity & Sorority Programs (FSP), a department within the Dean of Students, partnered with the Interfraternity Council, UAPD, and University Risk Management Services to conduct walk-throughs of fraternity houses. These walk-throughs provide fraternities with an opportunity to showcase their strengths in event management and risk mitigation, while also offering guidance and direct support on areas where they seek improvement. This marks the third semester of these walk-throughs, and they’ve become an activity that students look forward to each term.

While the fraternity facilities hosted their walk-throughs, Panhellenic sorority Risk Managers and New Member Educators participated in a training session led by UAPD officers Sgt. Kahn, Det. Nelson, and even K9 Maggie. The session focused on how women can support and educate one another on safety and other relevant issues. The students appreciated the chance to connect with female officers in a relaxed setting, getting their questions answered and leaving the meeting feeling empowered to be valuable resources for their chapter members.
