I’m a Mexican American who grew up in Conroe, TX, a proud mom to my daughter, and a Student Affairs professional at the University of Arizona. My journey has taught me that there isn’t one “right” path to success and that some of the most important lessons in life come from the experiences that shape us along the way.

I began my path at the University of Arizona working with Adaptive Athletics, an experience that had a meaningful impact on me. I loved working alongside student-athletes, hosting events, building community, and learning more about how universal design and inclusive practices can create better experiences for everyone. Some of my favorite moments came from simply getting to know the students, celebrating their accomplishments, and being part of their journey.

I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, and I value the diverse backgrounds, stories, and perspectives that make our campus community so special.

What do you love most about your work at U of A?
Meeting new people and listening to their experiences. 
 
What is your favorite thing about Tucson?
The food - Tucson has a lot of great food places! 
 
What is your favorite spot on campus?
ENR2 & the Turtle Pond
 
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outdoor activities with my daughter - swimming, hiking, walking and going on fun adventures. 
I also love to read, watch movies and listen to some Juan Gabriel and Rocio Durcal. 
 
Share one piece of advice for current or prospective U of A students.

There isn't one right path to success, learn all the skills that you can and just keep swimming!
