Chrissy is a first-generation U of A Alum with 24 years of service to the University of Arizona. She has been at the Dean of Students Office for over 12 years as an Associate Dean of Students overseeing the areas of Student Accountability and Assistance. Now serving as the Interim Dean of Students, Chrissy continues to support the central DOS staff as the First Amendment lead along with overseeing the leadership of Arizona Student Media, ASUA, Fraternity & Sorority Programs, VETS, ROTC, Defense Civilian Training Corps, and Student Assistance and Accountability.

Recognizing the impact attending U o A had on the direction of Chrissy’s career, she strives to continue to support and identify students’ potential as they navigate their way to graduation.


What do you love most about your work at U of A?
Students are the heart of our campus. I love seeing students come to campus with a sense of wonder, perhaps overwhelmed, and then finding their belonging and realizing their potential.

What is your favorite thing about Tucson?
Tucson sunsets are unmatched, and there is a particular time of year where the sun feels just right.

What is your favorite spot on campus?

What do you like to do outside of work?
Anything outside! This place is amazing for hiking, running, biking, picnics, etc.

Even the most resilient people need help sometimes.
